Noted
artist Paula Dawson, recipient of this year’s DIRECTOR’S
CHOICE AWARD came for her residency in February 2003. With her were
art historian John Gage and MIT MS candidate Oliver Cossairt . They
helped Paula build her special room with mirrored surfaces where
smoke from dry ice was pumped. The holograms were shot inside the
room where Paula stood in various martial art poses. Paula was her
usual beautiful and delightful self directing, encouraging and amusing
us all. |
