Ana Maria Nicholson, PhD is the director and co-founder of the Holocenter. She has been involved in holography since 1973 and is a highly regarded holographic artist. Nicholson was assistant director of the Center for Experimental Holography at the University of Hawaii (1976 - 1980), and directed the New York's Museum of Holography's Portrait Studio until 1994. Nicholson has created holographic portraits of many famous people including Walter Cronkite, Keith Haring, David Byrne, Gloria Steinem, Philippe de Montebello, Philip Johnson, Tony Benet and Arnold Schwarzenegger

Sam Moree has been a pioneer of holographer since 70's.
He operates the New York Holographic Laboratory which he co-founded in 1977. Moree has taught holography to hundred of students and currently runs workshops at the Holocenter and teaches a holography class with the School for Visual Art. In 1996 he was awarded a fellowship at the Academy of Media Arts (KHM) in Cologne, Germany.
Moree is renown for his sculptural pieces that incorporate holograms and his work with rainbow holography.

Martina Mrongovius is an Australian artist and designer with a background in physics. Mrongovius is a regular guest at the Korean HoloCenter and Academy of Media Arts (KHM) in Cologne, Germany. She also worked at The Holographic Image Studio in London in 2002. In 2008 Mrongovius re-located to New York to work with the Holocenter. Mrongovius is currently completing a PhD on how holographic images are encountered through the Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory at RMIT University in Melbourne Australia.

Schweitzer co-founded the Center for Holographic Arts in 1998 where he served as co-director until his death in December 2001. A respected artist and educator Schweitzer's work pushed the artform of holography. In 1977 he and Sam Moree established the New York Holographic Laboratory where they taught holography and produced stunning artwork. In 1987 Schweitzer receive a Shearwater award for his contribution to the art of holography.
